A Minardi mechanic checks the pylons of a front wing on one of the Minardi PS02 chassis. The team suffered a series of front and rear wing component failures over the weekend prior to the race. Because of this and not having the appropriate facilities at the track to examine the manufacturing flaw sufficiently enough, they decided to withdraw from the race on safety grounds.
